Health Ministry clarification on children's formula food

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has clarified that its circular regarding a ban on the import of children's formula food produced at the Craon factory of Lactalis Group in France, which was issued in December last year, does not include other products of the company.
In a notice on Twitter, the MoPH said other products of the group found in the local market have no relation to the ban as they are made in other factories of the company.
The ministry affirmed that all imported products are subject to comprehensive control at the country's entry points to ensure their safety before final clearance.
Earlier, a salmonella scare at the French dairy group affected 83 countries, with 12mn boxes of powdered baby milk being recalled.
