(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PARACHINAR: At least 100 destitute couples on Sunday tied knots in a mass wedding ceremony held here at Kurram Agency's headquarters Parachinar.
The ceremony was organized by Imam Khumaini Trust where political agent Baseer Khan Wazir where Brigadier Akhtar Aleem, ulema and local elders were present.
The trust organized furniture and dowry for destitute brides and invited their families for lunch.
Speaking on the occasion, Brig Aleem reminded the time where there used to be lawlessness but peace has been restored.
Most of couples thanked the trust for their marriages for they would not be able to marry due to prevailing poverty.
