UAE- Emarat FM to launch 14 radio programmes to promote Emirati culture, identity

ABU DHABI, 18th March, 2018 (WAM) -- The radio station, 'Emarat FM', part of the Abu Dhabi Radio Network, will launch a series of new programmes which will include live daily cultural entertainment and weekly shows that aim to appeal to a wide range of listeners, provide innovative radio content, and promote Emirati culture and identity.

Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Media, said that the new programmes will provide specialist content that will consider the public's interests, focus on spreading knowledge, and respond to the public's needs and their preferences.

Abdullah Bouattabah Al Zaabi, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Radio Network, explained that Emarat FM aims to produce a variety of new programmes that will reach out to the entire community, both inside the UAE and in Gulf Cooperation Council countries, via entertainment and interactive media, which will enhance the stature of radio in the region.

The station's new programmes will also include live discussions on a variety of subjects.

To commemorate the Year of Zayed, Emarat FM will also broadcast the programme, 'Zayed: Immortal Memory', hosting key national figures who will inform programme listeners about their experiences with the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, commenting on his personality and lasting legacy.
