Mozilla releases Firefox 59 for Desktops and Android

Global non-profit foundation Mozilla has announced the release of Firefox Quantum version 59 for users on desktop and Android.
With the latest update, the Firefox browser on desktop gets a host of new features including enhanced privacy and new tools for editing screenshots.
Also, Firefox for Android gets support for sites that stream videos using the open-source HTTP Live Streaming(HLS) protocol.

What's new on the Firefox 59 for Desktop
Details
Firefox 59 brings several performance improvements such as faster loading of content by loading it from networked cache or cache sourced directly from the user's hard drive. Also, Off-Main-Thread Painting (OMTP) comes to Firefox for Mac which will offer better graphic rendering.
Firefox Screenshots gets annotation and cropping tools that would allow the user to draw, highlight, or re-size the screenshots.

With the Firefox version 59 update, one gets improved Real-Time Communication (RTC) capabilities, support for W3C specs, and the ability to block unknown websites from sending notifications. Firefox 59 on Android brings support to use the browser as an assist app, allowing quick searching by pressing the home button on smartphones. Notably, Firefox for Android also gets the same Firefox Private Browsing upgrades as previously mentioned for desktop.
Also, the app now supports HTTP Live Streaming video playback and comes with the ability to lock full screen video in landscape mode.
