Ajay Devgn's 'Raid' takes an impressive opening

Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla starrer 'Raid' has opened well at the box office. The film started slow on Friday morning and picked up well in the second half of the day.
It has raked in Rs. 10.04 crore on its day 1.
Considering that the film is not a regular masala entertainer, the numbers are quite impressive.

In the recent years, every Ajay Devgn film has opened well on Friday, be it 'Golmaal Again', 'Baadshaho', 'Shivaay' etc.
Now, 'Raid' will have to sustain well at the box office in the coming days in order to emerge a hit.
The Raj Kumar Gupta directorial has received a thumbs up from the critics and the word of mouth is also positive.
