According to reports, Samsung has recently filed a trademark for the Note 9 name.

This shows that the company is indeed planning to launch its Galaxy Note 9 smartphone this year, with rumors suggesting it coming out by August.

So far, this is the first sign of Note 9's upcoming existence and indicates that Samsung is indeed making progress on the device.

Galaxy Note 9 is the perfect device for Samsung lovers who don't quite resonate with its flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+ series.

It is also the first choice of artists and doodlers, with Samsung Note's S Pen heritage providing them with an easy way to draw or write on the phone intuitively.

Samsung is also expected to improve Note 9's face scanning feature.

Here's what you can expect from Galaxy Note 9
Expected Features

Galaxy Note 9 will be vastly improved in terms of Samsung's voice-enabled digital assistant Bixby.

Samsung Mobile CEO DJ Koh had earlier confirmed that the company "will be able to unveil Bixby 2.0" during the launch the Galaxy Note 9.

The device will feature a possibly larger battery than Note 8's 3,300 mAh battery and of course, Android P support.

Note 9 might not feature in-display fingerprint scanner
Fact

However, the Galaxy Note 9 will not feature an in-display fingerprint scanner due to "technical difficulties," something that was being expected out of the device following earlier reports. Through it, users could have unlocked the phone by placing their finger anywhere on the screen.
