In addition to linking Delma Island with other parts of the Emirate by providing an appropriate transport mode for the residents and visitors of the Island. Moreover, the development plans were designed to meet the increasing demand on maritime public transport services that in turn effects the economic, social and tourism activities in Abu Dhabi. The delegation has visited the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal as well, the cruise tourism destination in the Emirate, and the main marine gateway to thousands tourists visiting the Emirate annually from Asia and Europe. Many governmental entities are coordinating together like the ITC, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority to assure offering a good experience to the tourists visiting Abu Dhabi. It is worth to mention that the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal was inaugurated in December 2015. The terminal attracts an increasing number of tourism tours operators who plan trips to Abu Dhabi for cultural and entertainment purposes.
