Pooja Bhatt to direct sister Alia in 'Sadak 2'

There have been several reports about the sequel to 'Sadak' but nothing substantial ever came into the picture, until now.
A leading portal has now confirmed that Alia Bhatt has bagged the much-awaited film and it will be directed by her sister, Pooja Bhatt.
Earlier, speculations were rife that Pooja too will have a pivotal role in 'Sadak 2.'

The makers of 'Sadak 2' are on a lookout for the male lead for the film. Although Sidharth Malhotra's name has been doing the rounds, nothing has been finalized till now.
The script of the film is written by Mahesh Bhatt who has said that it will reinforce people's faith in love.
The original, starring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt, was released in 1991.

Alia Bhatt currently has some big projects under her kitty. Her next release is Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi' that features Vicky Kaushal opposite her.
Post that, she will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' followed by Ayan Mukerji's superhero film 'Brahmastra' starring Ranbir Kapoor.
The actress was last seen in 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' with Varun Dhawan.
