(MENAFN) The death of a woman after being stroke by an avalanche in Swiss mountains close by the Italian border.
Four skiers were swept by the avalanche when they left cottage in the Arolla region, police in Switzerland's Valais canton declared.
Relief crew managed to rescue them and transfer them to the hospital by helicopter.
However, a woman among them, aged 40, lost her life while hospitalized in Sion, police added.
