Parts of Oman to receive rain till Monday: DGM


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Several parts of the country are likely to witness light to moderate rainon SundayandMonday, according to the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).

In its forecast, DGM said that there will be partly cloudy skies over the governorates of Muscat, North and South Batinah, Dakhliyah, North and South Sharqiyah and Musandam. 'There are chances of isolated rain accompanied by occasional thunderstorms. There will be mainly clear skies over the rest of the sultanate. There are chances of cloud advection from the Arabian Sea over Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates leading to isolated rain.'

A Public Authority for Civil Aviation official said a low pressure is building up which will cause rain. 'The sultanate is being affected by low pressure starting fromSaturdayonwards. This is a normal phenomenon as we say goodbye to the winter season and the summer arrives slowly.'
