Venezuela: candidates registration for presidential elections begins


(MENAFN) Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE) has started registering nominees of the April 22 presidential elections.

CNE's president Tania D'Amelio announced "today the process of registering candidacies for the 2018 presidential elections begins."

The head of CNE has requested those who are interested, possible candidates along with their parties, to begin registering through the internet using the CNE page.

Electoral calendar D'Amelio also declared the electoral body to begin afterwards assessing and approving, or rejecting candidates who registered by March 1st.
