Pakistan- PSL 3: Peshawar Zalmi defeats Islamabad United by 34 runs


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) DUBAI: Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday defeated Islamabad United by 34 runs in the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Dubai International Stadium. Islamabad United's tactic of choosing to bowl first backfired as Peshawar Zalmi mounted a strong total.

The young debutant Umaid Asif took four wickets in the first two overs of his PSL career. He dismissed both openers of United, Chadwick Walton and Luke Ronchi, apart from two middle-order batsmen.

Faheem Ashraf scored 54 from 30 balls in the latter part of the innings. 19-year-old Ibtisam Sheikh took three wickets. Chris Jordan took the one wicket of Iftikhar Ahmed.
