Pakistan- Paramedics demand pay scales upgradation


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: All Pakistan Paramedical Staff Federation (APPSF) staged a protest Demonstration against non-acceptance of demands and complained of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's indifferent attitude towards their problems.

Office bearers of APPSF gathered outside Peshawar Press Club and chanted slogans against the KP government for not accepting their demands.

They complained that the government was spending billions of rupees on health while pay no attention to problems of 18000 paramedics. They lamented that government has banned practices of the staff at private clinics due to which they were facing financial problems.

'Around 92 percent paramedics are serving in basic grade 12 with no chance of promotion while the government has also banned on their private practice,' said the federation president Habib Khan, while talking to Tribal News Network (TNN).

They demanded to upgrade their scales and ensure merit on paramedics vacant seats.
