(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Aftab Mehsud, a close friend of Naqeebullah Mehsud who was killed in a fake police encounter in Karachi, was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday.
Khair Shah, father of Aftab Mehsud, said his son went missing in the night and he received information in the morning that the body of his son has been found from a deserted area on Dayal Road. Police said the body of Aftab bears bullet wounds.
Aftab was a close friend of Naqeebullah Mehsud and an active member of Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement, which staged a sit-in in Islamabad against the extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud.
Police said the murder of Aftab will be investigated from various angles and help of other investigative agencies will also be sought.
