Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced that it will receive new students from today and issue their health assessment records after conducting their medical examinations at all health centres.

Executive Director of the Operations Department at the Primary Health Care Corporation, Dr Samia Al Abdullah, said the PHCC has been electronically linked to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

This enables health centres to electronically register students' data and medical examination results with the ministry.

She added that the guardian is required to conduct a medical examination for the student, in addition to the need to bring the required documents necessary like the official vaccination card and the ID card and a copy of it along with two personal pictures of the student and the original birth certificate and a copy, to complete the registration process.

According to Dr Samia, the health record of the student is valid for enrolment for two years from the date of issuing the final health report for the examination, indicating that the health assessment is a prerequisite for enrolment in schools and is one of the most important preventive health services offered to new school students.
