Turkish armed forces liberate 100 settlements from terrorists in Afrin

One hundred settlements were liberated from terrorists in Syria's Afrin district, the Turkish media reported referring to a military source Feb. 23.

The Turkish Armed Forces today liberated five more settlements from terrorists in northern Afrin on the border with Turkey within the Operation Olive Branch.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
