Ludhiana, Feb 23 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating relief among the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the state amidst stuck working capital and refunds, the state finance department has assured the sector that things will soon smooth up, Federation of Punjab Small Industries Association (FOPSIA) informed.

Talking to KNN, Badish Jindal, President of FOPSIA said that the industry have been facing the issue of blocked refunds under the new taxation.

'The industry representatives had a meeting with the State Finance Ministry and the officials have assured us that things will get better within a week, Jindal said.

Jindal further said that the option of going on strike and agitation does less good and becomes a political game-play.

Earlier, Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organization (FICO) deliberated on sending a memorandum to the Finance Minster Punjab and Finance Minister India to arrange the refund.

The federation raised that if the concerns are not addressed soon, the traders and industrialists will start agitation and will go on strike.

The association also requested the government to launch a special scheme with nominal charges if C forms and H forms are not given by the dealers from other states. (KNN/DA)
