(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has published a poem named "Sammi El Oud", dedicated to Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The poem, published on Sheikh Hamdan's official Twitter account, lauds the UAE's landscape and its honourable people. It pays homage to the leaders, including the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the soldiers who defend the country from all threats to its stability.
The poem is read to a reel that includes a montage of Sheikh Zayed's graduation from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the UK, which Sheikh Hamdan attended.
On Tuesday, the renaming of Academic City Road in Dubai in his name was also decreed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Zayed was welcomed home after a long recovery by Sheikh Mohammed and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, a few days ago.
He had been injured in a crash that took place in Yemen's Shawbah governorate last August.
