Pujara to begin homework for England tour with county stint

The month of April in the cricket calendar means only one thing, the Indian Premier League.
While the top cricketers, across the globe, will feature in the cash-rich tournament, India's Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara has other goals on his mind.
After faltering in South Africa, he wants to tame the English conditions ahead of India's crucial tour of England.
Pujara eager to join Yorkshire in English County

The right-handed batsman, who had a tough time in South Africa, believes that playing county cricket at Test venues of India's tour will help him assess the pitches and the conditions.
This way, he will at his best in the five-match Test series against England in August.
Cheteshwar Pujara claims public perception behind IPL snub
IPL woes
Cheteshwar Pujara, who has played just 30 IPL matches over 5 seasons, has scored 390 runs at an average of 20.52 and a strike rate of 99.74.
He last played in the IPL in 2014 and hasn't been bought by any franchise since then.
Pujara has admitted that public perception is one of the reasons he didn't get an IPL deal.
Test specialist cannot adopt to T20 cricket?

"Perception I would say has played a major role. If you check my performance in List A (average of 58 plus over 88 games) and T20s (strike rate of 105.18 in 58 games), I still have a lot to offer in shorter formats." Pujara concluded.
