These vehicles have completed the mandatory legal timeframe in the impounded area for whatever violation they were impounded for.

The vehicles that will go under the hammer were seized for traffic violations as their owners did not turn up to claim them after paying fines.

To participate in the auction, one has to obtain an auction card, which is available at the site from the first day of auction by paying a refundable deposit of QR3,000.

All vehicles are deleted from the record of the General Directorate of traffic and there are no legal or financial obligations.

On being won an auction, the bidder should pay 20% of the sale value or QR5,000, whichever is higher, as nonrefundable advance payment. The rest needed to be settled in full the next day. The bid winner can also pay the whole amount on awarding the auction.

If the buyer does not pay the whole amount within 24 hours, authorities have the right to re-auction the vehicle and the bidder will not be able to claim his down payment.

The buyer should finish all procedures and move the purchased vehicle out of the auction area within 24 hours after payment.
