EPG issues stamps for Abu Dhabi Tour

ABU DHABI, 21st February 2018 (WAM) The Emirates Post Group, EPG, has issued special stamps to mark the 4th edition of the Abu Dhabi Tour, which started today under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with RCS Sports, it continues until Sunday 25th February.

A commemorative set of the stamps was presented yesterday to Aref Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, by Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram, acting CEO of EPG.

"The Abu Dhabi Tour is a prominent international sporting event and issuing an official stamp complements our efforts in conveying to the world the significant developments, rich heritage, and diverse culture of the UAE. We aim to promote the UAE as a top destination and ideal platform to host major events; especially sports," Al Ashram said. "By promoting national and international sports events such as the Abu Dhabi Tour, we encourage an active and healthy lifestyle in our communities."

"I'm very glad and proud to announce the issue of this commemorative stamp dedicated to the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Tour. I would like to thank Emirates Post for this opportunity. It's another step to promote locally and internationally the one and only World Tour race in the Middle East," Al Awani said In a few years, he added, "I'm sure we will look at this stamp as a perfect milestone for a worldwide-established sport event."

Designed in collaboration with ADSC, the commemorative stamps feature the official logo of the Abu Dhabi Tour 2018 and are officially released today.
