Afghanistan: three deaths in hotel explosion

(MENAFN) Officials reported the murder of over three tribal heads and the injury of two others amid a hotel bombing in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad.

The reason behind the explosion is not clear yet, and no accusations have been raised.

A spokesman for the provincial governor, Attaullah Khogyani, declared that the blast first occurred in the hotel's second floor where the tribal heads resided.

The tribal leaders gathered in Jalalabad for a discussion about new identity cards suggested by the central authorities.
