(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Finance Ministry of the Republic of Lithuania and the Finance Ministry of Ukraine will organize the coordination committee for implementation of the reform of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and establishment of the Financial Investigation Service.
The representatives of the finance ministries of Ukraine and Lithuania agreed on this during the meeting on February 19, the press service of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry reports.
"Within the framework of the European Union's Public Finance Policy Reform Programme, Lithuania will coordinate the provision of assistance in the implementation of the reform of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. At the meeting with the delegation of the Finance Ministry of Lithuania and the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the action plan for the implementation of the reform of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian customs and establishment of the Financial Investigation Service, a single body to combat financial crimes against the state, were discussed," the report reads.
The delegation of the Republic of Lithuania and the EU Delegation to Ukraine expressed support for continuing the reform of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and Ukrainian customs with all the institutional changes, improving the IT infrastructure, attracting new people and reorganizing the work of the Service. One of the key issues in the reform of the State Fiscal Service is the final liquidation of the tax police and establishment of a single body to combat financial crimes against the state the Financial Investigation Service.
