Pakistan- Naqeeb murder case: Rao Anwar's close aide, another policeman arrested in Karachi


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Two more former policemen, including an officer, have been arrested in Karachi in the Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case.

Media reports said former deputy superintendent police Malir Qamar Ahmed, who is stated to be a close aide of Rao Anwar, the main accused, and a constable have been arrested. According to reports, Qamar Ahmed has confessed involvement in murder of Naqeebullah Muhsud in a fake police encounter in Shah Abdul Latif Town in Karachi on 13 January. He reportedly admitted that he arranged for gun used in the extrajudicial killing of three persons, including Naqeebullah Mehsud.

Police says the mobile data of three phones used by Rao Anwar shows that Qamar Ahmed was present in Shah Abdul Latif Town on the day of the fake encounter of Naqeeb Mehsud and others.
