Pakistan- Pending salaries of lady health workers to be paid within two weeks, NA told


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The government has assured that the issue of payment of salaries of lady health workers in FATA will be resolved within two weeks.

Member National Assembly from Khyber Agency Al-Haaj Shah Jee Gul Afridi and others had raised the matter of non-payment of salaries of lady health workers and non-regularisation of their jobs in the National Assembly. Parliamentary Secretary Shaheen Ashfaq told the National Assembly in response to the calling attention notice that 1,470 members of the staff have already been regularised under the directions of the prime minister. He sought two weeks time for resolving the matter of salaries' payment.

Federal Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar said salaries of lady health workers have been paid regularly. However, she said some dues of these workers are yet to be paid. She said the government is devising strategy for payment of dues to these workers.
