MoPH warns against use of two imported honey brands

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has warned the public against using two honey brands.
Wales Golden Honey is produced by Jordanian company Al Keaab, and a honey product Macum Eqimedyumly is produced by Turkish company Therma.
Wales Golden Honey was found to contain chemical substancesVardenafil and Homosildenafil, while the Turkish product contained Sildenfil, according to MoPH.
Such chemicals were added without including them in the production component information, posing a risk to the life and health of consumers, the ministry said in a tweet.
Besides, the two products are not registered in the State of Qatar and not permitted for use. They are imported individually from some countries for personal use.
The MoPH Pharmacy and Drugs Control Department warned against the use of both products and banned their import as part of its desire to protect the safety and health of consumers.
