Woman among 3 civilians killed in Farah blast


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FARAH (Pajhwok): Three civilians, including a woman, were killed in a roadside bombing and a policeman gunned down in western Farah province, an official said on Monday.

Nasir Mehri, the governor€™s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place when a civilian vehicle struck a roadside bomb in Chaplati village of Shibkoh district late on Sunday night.

He blamed militants for planting roadside bombs that killed civilians.

Amrullah, a resident of the area, confirmed the incident and casualties. There was no claim of responsibility for the blast.

According to another report, police official Abdul Razzaq was shot dead by two unidentified motorcyclists in the 1st police district.

Mehri said the police officer was initially wounded. Later on, he succumbed to his injuries at the Malika Civil Hospital.
