Israel to supply Egypt with gas in USD15bn deal with US Noble Energy

(MENAFN) A ten-year USD15 billion agreement has been signed between Israel's Delek and Texas' Noble Energy for natural gas to be transferred to Egypt.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange was informed by Delek about the gas being drilled from offshore natural gas fields in Israel, which are Leviathan and Tamar.

Delek and Noble Energy are, under the terms of the deal, to supply natural gas of around 64 billion cubic meters to Egyptian Dolphinus Holdings Ltd.

Delek also revealed it was studying a number of alternatives to export the gas to Egypt, as it was also looking into holding talks with the East Mediterranean Gas Company.
