(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Al Ain will settle for nothing less than three points from AFC Champions League Group D match against Qatar club Al Rayyan at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Tuesday, coach Zoran Mamic said.
Al Ain had drawn the opening match against Al Hilal and are at the bottom of the group. Abu Dhabi club need a win to stay in the hunt and Mamic is confident that his players will grab a positive result.
"Our game will not be easy but our goal is clear - a win and three points. We are fully ready," the coach said during a press conference.
In recent local match, Al Ain were humiliated by Al Wahda but Mamic said the players have moved on and were fully focused on the ACL engagement.
"Every match is a new challenge for us. We don't think about the past irrespective of positive or negative results. All our focus now is on the AFC Champions League and our goal is to achieve a strong result," Mamic said.
Defender Tsukasa Shiotani said all players have fighting spirit and strong desire to win.
"We have no choice but to win. Our ambitions are very big and we will redouble our efforts to collect three points," he added.
