(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A man in Abu Dhabi sued the gym where he used to work out after a heavy equipment fell on his head.
The man, who had been paying the gym Dh4,000 in annual membership fee for the last four years, was exercising his arms when a heavy ball weighing 8-10kg fell on his head, causing him concussion and headache.
He immediately called the ambulance, and paramedics provided him first aid before asking him to head to a hospital for a follow-up check-up.
The following day, the man felt a severe headache and went to the hospital, where CT scan showed he suffered from concussion following the injury. He also suffered chronic headache, lack of concentration, insomnia, and photophobia.
The man then sued the gym for failing to maintain equipment.
The case has been adjourned to March 14.
