Turkey liberates 70 settlements in Syria's Afrin

Turkish Armed Forces liberated a total of 70 settlements as part of the Operation Olive Branch in Syria's Afrin district, the Turkish media reported Feb. 19 referring to military sources.

Three settlements in Syria's Afrin district on the border with Turkey were liberated from PYD/YPG terrorists on Feb. 19.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
