(MENAFN) According to the Local Interior Ministry, over four women were shot dead with another five wounded in a gunfire attack amid Russia's cultural holiday, in the Russian Republic of Dagestan.
The ministry reported that the injured included local civilians, policeman and a person from the National Guard.
The fatalities increased to five as a woman lost her life in hospital, meanwhile two more wounded are hospitalized in a critical state, The Russian Health Ministry declared.
The shooter was shot dead by the police and National Guards men, as told by the Interior Ministry.
