(MENAFN) David Glasser has been sacked as the Chief Operating Officer for the Weinstein Company in a board vote, as they condemned his inability to shield staff members from the behaviors of Harvey Weinstein.
The COO has been sued by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman for not being able to be a shield for staff members.
Seeing that he was supposed to be declared as the company's CEO under a new ownership group, the attorney general confirmed he would not have approved of the sale if Glasser was in control.
The company declared "the Board of The Weinstein Company has unanimously voted to terminate David Glasser for cause."
