Petro Poroshenko, António Guterres discuss deployment of UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the course of the working visit to Germany, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

The parties paid special attention to the prospects of deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas.

The interlocutors agreed that the main task of the future UN mission should be ensuring full peaceful settlement in Donbas, as well as restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders.

Petro Poroshenko and António Guterres expressed concern over the ongoing deterioration of the human rights situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In this context, the Ukrainian President stressed the necessity for the international community to apply additional measures to force Russia to fulfill UN GA resolutions 71/205 and 72/190.
