In his indictment, three Russian companies have also been charged by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, marking a significant step forward in his investigation into Russian meddling.
Three Russians of the charged thirteen were also charged with plotting to carry out a wire fraud, with five of the thirteen charged with aggravated identity theft.
President Trump has reiterated his statement in a post on Twitter of "no collusion" involved among Russia and his campaign.
