US to continue patrol in South China Sea

(MENAFN) U.S. forces were revealed to be set for resuming patrol over the South China Sea "international law allows us".

The declaration has been made by an officer for the Navy, who is on a mammoth U.S. aircraft carrier filled with F18 fighter jets, when he was inquired about the recently constructed Chinese islands capabilities to hold them back in the waters.

The U.S. Navy was confirmed by Lt. Cmdr. Tim Hawkins to have performed routine patrols within the waters for seventy years, in order to support regional security and make sure of the unhindered trade level.

"International law allows us to operate here, allows us to fly here, allows us to train here, allows us to sail here, and that's what we're doing and we're going to continue to do that," the Navy officer explained.
