The nominations for 90th Academy Awards have been announced.

Guillermo del Toro's The Shape of Water is leading with 13 nominations. Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri follow next with eight and seven nominations respectively.

Priyanka Chopra will be one of the announcers and Meryl Streep gets yet another (her 21st) Oscar nomination for The Post.

Best actor


The best actor category this year is as diverse as it can get at Oscars. It includes two debutants, two Academy Award veterans, one Brit and one black man.

One of them is sure to get the coveted trophy:

The nominations for best actress are predictable with women from most Oscar-worthy films of 2017 finding a place.

Though it is a tough fight, but legendary Meryl Streep might just take home her fourth Academy Award for The Post.

McDonagh not nominated despite Three Billboards making waves

*Mary J Blige is the first person ever to find nominations in both acting and music categories in the same year.

*Jacqueline Durran has been nominated twice in the best costume design category for Beauty and the Beast and Darkest Hour.

*Rachel Morrison is the first female cinematographer to be nominated.
