Former CIA officer arrested for classified data retention

(MENAFN) The US Justice Department confirmed an ex-CIA officer to have been detained at New York's JFK airport on charges of illegal retention of classified data.

The naturalized American citizen Jerry Chun Shing Lee was appointed in the CIA 1994-2007 before he travelled to Hong Kong.

The case is believed to be tied to a 2012 FBI investigation into the CIA failure during a spy operation carried out in China.
