(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) BANNU: A man gunned down a local imam after he refused to provide 'taweez', an emulate in Mandan area of Bannu district on Friday, the police said.
The police, while quoting relatives of the deceased, said that a man killed Maulvi Sher Wali to a man who asked him provide him a taweez that could bring him good fortune.
He was shifted to district headquarters hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Later, his relatives placed his body on Bannu-DI Khan road and staged a protest demonstration.
They demanded of the government to arrest the killer and take action against the hospital administration for not providing timely first aid to the deceased due to which he died.
