Cairo, Rabi'II 09, 1439, December 27, 2017, SPA -- Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, Mohammed bin Saeed al-Jaber, confirmed that Iran supplied the coup Houthis with ballistic missiles in the form of pieces through the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, and then experts from Hezbollah and Iran assembled them to target the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During a joint press conference with Arab Parliament Speaker Dr. Mishaal al-Salami in Cairo today following a meeting held by the Jaber family with members of the Arab Parliament and representatives of Arab countries to the Arab League to brief them on the political, military and humanitarian developments in Yemen, Al-Jaber said, "During the session, we presented a lot of fact, beginning with the coup of the Huthi rebels on the transitional stage that was governing the transfer of power, the Gulf initiative, and the dialogue that included all the Yemeni factions on all issues including Saada and Houthis, which reached many solutions to the problems of Yemen.
He explained that the Houthis destroyed the hope of the Yemenis in achieving political and economic stability and withdrew from the peace and partnership agreement signed in 2014, and rejected the proposal of UN envoy Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed to hand over the port of Hodeidah to an international authority to manage it.
He added that the Houthis have signed more than 80 agreements since they originated with the tribes and the Salafis, including what is under the supervision of the United Nations, and they have violated all of them, as they have agreed with former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to provide them with cover, and when Saleh discovered the size of the Iranian presence gave up this partnership, and change his positions and they killed him for that, pointing out that the Yemeni people are well aware that the practices of the Houthis are beyond the customs of Yemen and the Arabs.
He pointed out that the Houthis rejected all political solutions and moved under Iranian guidance. He said that they could have moved to Marib where the gas and oil were, but in accordance with Iran's orders they moved to control Bab al-Mandab.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Yemen said that the Arab alliance managed to expel the Houthis from Aden and now they are on the outskirts of Sanaa, and there are successes achieved by the coalition.
Al Jaber pointed out that King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action is making great efforts and there is a plan for the humanitarian operations that will be implemented to support Yemeni people in all fields.
For his part, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Meshaal al-Salami, said, "The parliament will draw up a plan to address the Iranian interference in Yemen, both internally and internationally," pointing out that the Arab Parliament will issue tomorrow a decision on the situation in Yemen and Iranian interventions and supplying the Houthis with missiles.
"For the first time in history, there is a militia that possesses ballistic missiles in flagrant violation of international law and in violation of Security Council resolutions," he said.
He pointed out that the Arab Parliament is contacting similar parliaments to explain the reality of the situation in Yemen, noting that Yemen is a central issue on the agenda of the Parliament for its importance and its Arab role, as well as the political and economic difficulties it suffers.
He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Arab coalition forces to restore state authority and legitimacy in Yemen, represented by President Abderbo Mansour Hadi.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament confirmed that the parliament stands with the Kingdom, the coalition forces and the Arab world to maintain Arab national security, stressing that there can be no stability in Yemen, Bahrain and other Arab countries under Iran's practices.
