UK witness largest decrease in 20 years for suicide rates

(MENAFN) Official numbers showed that in twenty years, the UK suicide rates have witnessed a most major decline.

Office for National Statistics data found that comparing to 2015, suicides registered in 2016 were 3.6 fewer which indicates from 6,188 deaths there was a 223 drop.

The decrease suggests, as specialists suppose, that suicide-prevention initiatives are a great support.

However, despite the fact that males continue to make for Q3 of suicide cases, both males and females rates have dropped significantly.
