White Coat Ceremony at Oman Medical College


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Medical College is organizing a White Coat Ceremony on 20 December 2017 for the Final Year, Bachelor of Pharmacy students at their Baushar Campus, on Wednesday, under the patronage of Dr. Qasim Al Salmi, Director General of Royal Hospital, Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman.

It is the first private college in Oman (for Medicine and Pharmacy Program) and the White Coat Ceremony is an annual function in this campus. The symbolic 'White Coat' on students / health professionals emphasizes professionalism and integrity as these students will soon begin their clinical rotations.

Oman Medical College was established in 2001 in academic partnership with West Virginia University, USA. It is the first private medical school licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman to provide Doctor in Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programs. The curriculum is taught in English. About 479 medical doctors, and 304 pharmacists have graduated from Oman Medical College till date. In addition to the Omani students, a number of students from the GCC and other foreign countries have also graduated from this institution.
