Pakistan- WSSP to provide free of cost water to mosques, madrassas in Peshawar


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 18 December: The Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) has decided to provide free of cost water and other services to mosques and madrassas.

Decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of WSSP Board of Directors chaired by Haji Shaukat Ali in Peshawar on Sunday. The meeting also approved establishment of citizen liaison cell for discouraging wastage of water, throwing of garbage at inappropriate places and achievement of other goals. It was also decided to conduct water quality testing survey in Peshawar.

The board of directors also approved Rs1,000 raise in the salaries of the company's employees from 1 January. About 900 employees will benefit from this announcement.
