Gujarat and Himachal have chosen development: Modi on BJP win

It was a major win for the BJP as it retained its hold on Gujarat and wrested power from the Congress in Himachal Pradesh.
BJP leaders including PM Narendra Modi hailed it as a "victory of development".
"I assure (people of Gujarat and HP) that we will leave no stone unturned in furthering the development journey...and serve the people tirelessly," he tweeted.

"Election results in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh indicate a strong support for politics of good governance and development. I salute the hardworking BJP Karyakartas in these states for their hardwork which has led to these impressive victories," tweeted Modi.
For the Himachal win, he wrote: "With the lotus' bloom in Himachal, development has won."
His reaction on Gujarat was similar: "Development won, Gujarat won!"
BJP leads in 98 seats in Gujarat, 43 in Himachal

As of 4 pm, the BJP is leading in 98 seats in Gujarat while Congress has gained in 81. In Himachal Pradesh, the BJP is ahead in 43 seats, with the Congress retaining its might in 21.
