Egypt to seek out dollar bond issues proposals from banks

(MENAFN) According to banking sources, banks were sent a request a week ago by Egypt to provide proposals that aim for US dollar-denominated Eurobonds to be arranged.

Between January and February 2018, Egypt is to issue a dollar-denominated Eurobond to be followed through a euro-denominated debt sale later in the year, as stated by Finance Minister Amr El-Garhy.

$7 billion in international bonds were issued by Egypt this year by a $4 billion trade in January as well as a re-opening of the same bond in May. The issues are said to have been prepared by JP Morgan, Citigroup, Natixis and BNP Paribas.
