Expat: Qatar values labour workforce


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The labourers are excited to celebrate Qatar National Day with full zeal and fervour, Doha resident Tarik Asif told Qatar Urdu Radio's live show Haqeeqat yesterday.
There are a number of activities and programmes lined up for labourers across the country this year, he pointed out. Asif, who actively participates in the welfare events of the Bangladeshi community, said that Qatar values the efforts and work of the labour workforce and has taken great measures to provide health as well as entertainment facilities for them.
'Our love for Qatar increased even more after His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani expressed his pride in the expatriate community, he added.
Haqeeqat, which aims to engage and interact with the large South Asian expatriate community in Qatar, is a joint venture of the Gulf Times and Qatar Media Corp Urdu Radio. The show is hosted by Saif-ur-Rehman.
