James Mattis: Intercontinental Missile of DPRK to not be a capable threat yet

(MENAFN) The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) recently developed Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) is thought by U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis to not create a "capable threat" to the United States.

During a briefing in Pentagon Friday, Mattis stated "it is not yet shown to be a capable threat against us right now." He then added that the US is yet looking into the forensics which will "take a while."

Moreover, the UN Security Council was informed Friday by U.S. State Secretary Rex Tillerson that the US "pressure campaign" is to keep on going until denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula is accomplished.
