Wounds of horrible APS attack still fresh as Pakistan observes third anniversary of martyrs


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 16 December: Pakistan is observing third anniversary of the heinous terror attack on the Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar today (Saturday). The scars and wounds of that terrible incident are still fresh in the hearts and minds of the country's people on the third anniversary of the martyrs.

The main ceremony to commemorate the martyrdom of the APS students and teachers will be observed at the APS Peshawar where Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will be chief guest. The parents of the martyred students have also been invited to the ceremony. Participants of the ceremony will pay tribute to the martyrs and pray for their higher solace in the Hereafter.

One hundred and fifty people, including 138 students, were martyred when terrorist stormed APS Peshawar at 10:00 on 16 December, 2016. Seven terrorists were killed in the operation of security forces at the school after the incident. The martyred students were aged between six and 16 years.

The APS attack is considered most heinous terror attack in the history of the country.
