Horgos Port's imports and exports hit record highs


(MENAFN) Imports and exports at Horgos Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have exceeded 100b yuan by the end of last month.

Through Jan-Nov, the import and export cargo volume of the port have come to 26.3m tons, up 11.56% from a year earlier.

The trade volume of the port has jumped by 30%, making up over 40% of imports and exports for the whole region.

According to customs authorities, the growth of exports was resulted by the increase in exports of hi-tech products, clothes, electronic devices and agricultural products.
