Hyundai workers to strike next week

(MENAFN) Union members of Hyundai Motor Co. employees will carry out a walk next week for higher wages and bonuses, as the company has rejected their demands, according to the union.

The workers are planning to go on strike for eight hours each day from Monday to Tuesday at the company's five plants in Ulsan.

The company said that industrial action at the company has caused production losses equivalent of 43,000 vehicles, or 890b won.

The 51,000-member union of Hyundai has been setting strikes all this week, but the company has not provided updated figures, as it wants to reach an agreement next week on this year's wage talks.
